What I'm Doing Now
October 6, 2012 - Hi everyone! I just thought it'd be a great idea to tell you what I'm doing. This weekend we set up my website, my PayPal account, and my savings account. I am getting a couple of small fundraisers started tonight. Hopefully we can get them going tomorrow or Monday.
I have to have an interview in a week or so. I'm not "officially" selected as an Ambassador until this interview is completed. I'm waiting to begin the "big" fundraising until I'm officially selected.
I also have to get a Passport! I've never had one before!
That's about it for this weekend.
I hope all of you are having a safe, fun and happy weekend!
TTYL...
Rachel

October 8, 2012 - Happy Columbus Day! He sailed the ocean blue in 1492!
My first fundraiser is ready to go! We'll launch it tonight. I'm so excited.
Also, my interview is scheduled for the morning of October 20 in Escanaba. I'm nervous, excited, I don't know what!
Well, I'm off to get my homework done now.
I hope you all are having a great week!
Rachel.

Nothing else to report tonight. Have to find a cuddly blanket and curl up in it!!
Stay warm friends!

Hi everybody! So, I had my interview today. It went really well. I hope I didn't talk her ear off! It's just hard to contain my excitement.
It was a beautiful day. The sun was shining and there were some clouds; but that made it a perfect day for a rainbow!
My family has been so supportive! My mom and I had lunch with my grandma after the interview. Everyone is so excited for me.
Now begins the hard work of going in front of people and getting them to donate money for sponsorships. I hope they're kind!
That's it for now.
Rachel

That can't be right! It's been a month since I posted? Wow. I've been very busy! I've had two bake sales and a Party Lite Fund Raiser. Things are going well. First, I have to say that, this last weekend at the Holy Spirit School Craft Show, we were doing the bake sale and one couple came up and talked about their own travel to Europe and then gave me $20 as a donation! I couldn't believe it! That was very generous and I wish I knew your names so that I could properly thank you.
Both bake sales were huge successes and my Party Lite party was great too. Ok, I didn't really spend a lot of time AT the party...I got to meet another Ambassador, Katana Freed. She's a year older than me, but she's awesome. I can't wait to get together with her again.
This weekend, my mother and I are going to sketch out a plan for visiting businesses and begin the campaign for larger donations. So far, though, I can say that this is such a generous and loving place to live. I will be so proud to represent my hometown as I travel across Europe next summer!
That's all for now. Everyone have a great Thanksgiving!
