Welcome to Operation European Adventure!
My name is Rachel Schroeder and I'm about to go on the biggest adventure
of my life! Over the next year, I will be asking for donations and
sponsorships from local businesses and residents.
Next summer, I will have the opportunity to go to Switzerland, Austria, Italy and France as part of the People to People Ambassador programs started by President Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1956. I need to raise at least $7,500 to cover my tuition for this program. This will cover my travel expenses, meals, insurance, and everything else associated with my adventure. You can learn more at http://peopletopeople.com.
Let me tell you a little about myself. I was born at the Dickinson County Hospital 15 and a half years ago. My mom, dad, brothers and I moved away for a little while, because my dad was in the Army; but we moved back when I was in 4th grade. I am now a Sophomore in High School. I have an older brother who is a Junior at KHS and a younger brother who is a 7th grader at KMS.
I love Kingsford High School and I am just starting to get involved with Rocketry and Drama. I love to draw and paint and I have many works of art that I will share on my website as we get it up and running.
I also love animals. I have volunteered at the "Almost Home Animal Shelter" since the summer of 2010. I love to cook and especially to bake, and I always donate baked goods to the Animal Shelter bake sales.
When I return from my trip, I plan to continue volunteering at the Animal Shelter and I will be getting ready for college. When I graduate from High School, I want to study Zoology and/or Marine Biology and plan for a career working with marine mammals at a zoo or a park like Sea World.
Please consider a sponsorship for my trip.
Your support is greatly appreciated.
